Tesco Greener Living are offering digital versions of popular magazine to download for free!

The bad news is that the site says that the reader software needs your PC to be at least 2 GHz processor speed, with a minimum 512 MB of RAM and at least 1 GB free hard disk space — so that’s me out then.

If you’ve a better, less full, PC than mine, visit http://tesco.goreadgreen.com/ for more details.

UPDATE: There is an option to read the digital magazine in your web browser but you will need Flash installed and it’s still not really a practical option for the RAM (PC memory) challenged like me.

Phone book petition most popular on Number10 website

A petition aimed at making whether or not telephone owners received a printed directory an opt-in scheme is the most popular Environmental petition on the 10 Downing St website.

The petition reads: “We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to establish a centralised opt-in system for receiving phonebooks.” and has received over 5,800 signatures to date. It’s aims to reduce the number of directories that need to be printed each year.

Anyone wishing to sign the petition should head over to petitions.number10.gov.uk/NoPhonebooks/
